ABOUT US:
The Piano Man's DJ Productions is a leading dj service in the capital district that provides musical entertainment for celebrated events. We are known as a very personalized DJ service, tailoring to the needs of the client during the planning stages for the event, as well as having very personable & interactive skills at the event. Most of our events that we perform for include weddings, school dances, corporate functions, anniversaries, birthdays, and mitzvahs. (Weddings are our specialty). Customer satisfaction is our number one goal.
DUTIES SUMMARY:
The person that fills this position would be responsible for carrying out all relevant tasks to ensure or exceed his or her clients' expectations at the celebration. Examples would be: accomodating musical requests, formalities, and understanding the needs and wants of the client as the acting master of ceremonies. Major duties at the event include:
- Setting up all necessary sound, music and lighting equipment
- Playing appropriate music that relates to the crowd.
- Conducting all necessary announcements by microphone: Master of Ceremony.
QUALIFICATION SUMMARY:
- Must have the ability to read a crowd to determine interaction and musical selections.
- Mobile disc jockey experience, or experience performing in front of an audience is helpful.
- Some troubleshooting and operating knowledge on professional sound equipment. (Having your own sound system is helpful, but not required).
- Familiarity of musical knowledge and keeping up with current billboard hits.
- Must be available on weekends, especially Saturday nights.
- Must have reliable transportation to transport dj equipment to and from events.
- Must be honest, personable, outgoing, energetic, responsible, and dedicated.
COMPENSATION:
We offer one of the highest paid rates in the area for this line of work. Pay is varied, based on the type of events booked and experience/talent.
